Expert Witness

Activities surrounding accidents are analyzed for any evidence of violation of OSHA safety laws. Activities 
may include a site survey, review of provided previous depositions, preparation of questions for depositions, 
acting as an expert witness or other studies as warranted. A thorough report will be provided for use in 
court proceedings as requested.

Inspections

Analysis of the current safety climate of a facility may be provided according to the client’s schedule. This 
includes the actual physical plant, previous and current training programs and any paperwork as required by 
OSHA. This review will typically last one day. Employers receive a report listing improvements (worst-case 
first) to be made and suggested methods of making these improvements. If desired, a turnkey operation for 
problem correction will be provided. Pictures taken during the review for clarification will be turned over to the 
client with the completed report.

          Environmental Analysis

Exposure to the fines or penalties resulting from inspections by state or federal EPA may be reduced or 
eliminated by proper pre-inspection site review. . Chemicals and processes are reviewed for toxicity. Waste 
disposal will be reviewed and as observable, recommendations for improvement will be provided.

Knowledgebase includes:

1. Experience at UNC Chapel Hill performing the duties of Chemical, Radiation and Safety Compliance Officer.

2. Several years as an OSHA Enforcement Inspector in the Compliance Branch of North Carolina OSHA conducting inspections for both General Industry and Construction.

3. Government and private sector management of environmental processes and waste reduction, chemical or raw material reuse, or removal.

4. Private sector analysis, scheduling and budget layout for abatement activity including ISO 14000 design, planning and implementation.

5. Associate base for advanced multilingual training in all areas of the safety, environmental and health disciplines.

Industry:

$1,000 per day - On site inspection
$50.00 / hour - Travel time (if relevant)
$75.00 / hour - Analysis / Report time.

Attorneys:

$75.00 per hour research and reporting
$1,000 per day court / deposition time (full days only)
